Falsified campaign data and unrealistic conversion rates? Learn how to identify typical analysis errors and make your web analytics more robust and meaningful in the long term with specific tips.

Does this sound familiar? A campaign has long since ended, but even months later, visits with the old campaign parameters are still appearing? Or there are more website visits than clicks on the ad?
Such effects are particularly noticeable when reach measurement is possible without consent. But even with consent requests, massive distortions often occur. And the problem with ‘perpetually active’ campaign parameters is a real challenge, but it can be solved!

In his session, Joachim Nickel provides exciting insights into actual visitor behaviour: why a 60-minute visit often means only three minutes of actual use – and why the conversion rate is often much too low according to web analytics.
He focuses on analyses with Matomo because the effects can be traced particularly well there. However, the challenges are just as great with Google & Co. – and the solutions can be transferred directly to other tools.
Look forward to specific tips on how to improve the quality of your data, recognise typical analysis errors – and make your web analytics more robust.

Explore Matomo’s Command Line Interface for analytics automation, report archiving, maintenance, uprgrading to newer Matomo versions, and plugin management.

Proper granular control of the Matomo backend can be very liberating. If you are the person on your team who babysits the Matomo server, we can help you sieze greater control. Our presentation is intended to help people who are not using the CLI to control Matomo currently to become comfortable with using it for a half dozen scenarios which may occur once a year or once a week.

This talk applies to all On Premises administrators.

We will demonstrate a tool which Moises wrote to help write command line syntax for On Premises users but the content can be used directly on the command line. If you only use "console core:archive" now, we will help you go forward with some other commands and some other parameter options.
